yes they are installed and they sound clean..even without a sub hooked up..they aren't too bad..and i have a type r sub..12"..and everything is nice/lound, doesn't distort..and i have good sound clarity..i'm not saying oh JL's suck cock..but i'll agree that sony ****..is exactly what i said..****..can't compare to anything..i think jensen makes better speakers..

I picked up the type x..because i heard good stuff about em..have other alpine gear in another car..and i picked them up at 160..

they sound really good playing dvd's..
