No. All shocks are rated for a certain spring rate range. The harder the EDIT "spring" the quicker it's going to rebound the shock making the oil/gases in the shock heat up quicker, which in the long run blow the seals.
Most off the shelf shocks like AGX, KYB, and Tokicos are rated for around 300 ft/lbs springs. Go over than and expect your shocks not to last as long. Koni Yellows are about 450. Koni SPSS3s are about 600lbs.
Think of it like a pressure cooker. The higher the temperature you cook the pressure cooker under the more pressure that builds up inside. Eventually something has to give.
