In IL, your tags expire the month you purchased your car. The reminder letters do go out too.
Cops in IL patrol parking lots and driveways for expired tags. There's no way you can go 2 weeks with expired stickers.
In driveways too? Can they really give you a ticket like that when its on private property? You can have a car with expired tags sitting in your driveway. How are they to know you still drive it.
