I have a pimp pirated version of Windows XP. It's a hybrid between Vista and XP Black. No serial number needed, no activation needed too. It runs flawless on 3 other computers and includes Vista's sidebar and such too. Because it's part Vista and part XP, there are missing XP drivers the mobo needs for the HD audio install. I just can't make the onboard sound work.
To alleviate this, I have to install Windows XP w. SP2 (or Vista), which I don't have. I'm not about to buy it either.
I ended up installing my old soundcard (Audigy 2: Gamer) and ordering the optical out adapter. (
