sure some of the population is very anti-US but also some of that population is the population that thrived under Saddam.

we didnt "push" anything on them. its not like we came in and said HEY no more muslim views, no more muslim laws ... you do it this way or we kill you

the population that thrived under Saddam is a very tricky conversation. All the doctors, and teachers had to join the party to get their jobs. when america went in, someone said all aprty members cant work, round them up. so all of a sudden there were no teachers or doctors and the kids were out in the street getting gobbled up by the extremists. think about it.
