you know 1 of the reasons there are shootings at schools (high school & college alike)????
cause the perpitrators know that the law-abiding citizens will be unarmed & therefore easier targets

know why you don't hear of shootings inside federal buildings & courthouses???
cause there are systems (checkpoints w/ metal detectors & armed security guards) to keep people from bringing guns in

therefore, my original point was that anywhere there aren't systems in place to keep EVERYBODY from bringing a gun to potetionally do me harm, then i should be able to carry MY gun to potetionally protect myself

you know the night i was walking to my car w/ my date & was confronted by men w/ knives trying to rob &/or injure me &/or her, it wasn't something that was a "common occurance" for me either, but i was prepaired for the situation (legally) & was able to defend me & her

the world has become a dangerous place & the minute criminals know that their victims are unarmed at all times, the danger to the law-abiding citizen jumps exponentionally

think about it this way, if you know a street or stretch of interstate that NEVER has a cop on it & you are running late, are you more or less likely to speed??....the fact that there MIGHT be a cop around the bend to bust you for speeding makes you think twice about breaking the law. you might still do it, but at least you have pause about the consequences. same thing applies to criminals & guns....it has beeen statistacilly proven that violet crime drops in places that allow citizens to concealed carry.
