I am sure you have tried multiple methods of plugging your xbox through to your TV right? Either Component, or Composite? Made sure the A/V cable was on TV and not HDTV or visa versa...

i haven't tried composite video, but i'm not sure if that would help since i'm going to want to be on component anyway. it's really weird. it's like once it starts having to do actual work, the colors go funky.
i.e. it's fine when it first starts up, but once i go into matchmaking, it'll go weird.
and then sometimes if i take my disc out, nothing will show up on the screen. sometimes it'll just have funky colors in the dashboard. and if i start without a disc in, i get nothing. and i can't change resolution, it'll just make me lose all video.
i'm going to try composite, and also vga.
