I pulled the cams and sparkplugs. There wasn't really any shavings in the head and no signs of detonation on the plugs... I'll continue tear down.

Also, what's considered cam scoring? My saddles, caps, and cams, have and pretty much always had lines on them. So have many other honda heads I've looked at. Not nearly enough to catch on my fingernail.
