Those amps are/were really good (if they survive). Their power supplies had a nasty habit of dying. They are really loosly regulated, so the more power you give them, the more power they make. I've always liked the old reference designs. Let me know if you need a perfect condition Ref 500. I have one around that I wouldn't mind getting rid of.
The one I want is in perfect condition now, give me some specs on the amp you have and how much you want for it.
