you know claymore mines? anti-personel mines. you plant them and when someone trips them they explode.

its great for snipers, you can outfit with 2 of them. i find a nice defensive position with 1 or 2 entry points, mine the entry points and then i can snipe without worry of getting sneaked on. if someone trips a mine and doesnt die i know and i can reposition to defend.
