that is what makes nashville such a hub for trucking companies....3 major interstates coming in from most any direction leaving going in most any direction
i-65 goes north/south
1-40 goes east/west
& the forementioned i-24 goes north-west/south-east
they are now working on i-840 which is a connector that is about 35 miles outside of nashville that will eventually loop completely around & makes it look like a wagon wheel. so you can come in on any interstate, take it to go to any other interstate going in any other direction & not have to come into downtown nashville

It left off a few highways, but they usually arent on the system. I don't know WHY i knew this... but when I was like 7 I learned that the system is like that for time of war you can land planes on the highways or something... and all the cities have runways...
