-For less money you could get a quality spring & shock combo which would have the same handling characteristics and better quality. I have seen pictures of broken collars on OBX coilovers. I can't say the same for Ground Control or Skunk2. The Skunk coilover horror stories are from the days of Skunkworks, and just passed on as 'my cousin's sister's boyfriend's cellmate in jail had those and they broke' stories
We are in aggrement on the actual coilovers from obx and drop zone are cheap, those are not the springs that I have, My suspension does not use same spring, like I said, I have the Spec R coilovers, that's the real deal coilover, but you are right, I've seen collars on coilovers (cheap) break, buy my collar is actually made into the strut, w/ the higher rate springs, good quality, not cheapo like you'd think.
