Have you giggled the headphone plug while listening to music?

I had my ipod plugged into my head unit via front aux port, well, a lady cut me off really bad the other day. I threw my right arm out to block my little one from leaning forward incase of a collison, my hand hit the cable @ the jack and the sound coming from ipod sounds like the noise you're describing. I'm thinking it might be trauma to the headphone jack?
