I normally support the popo, but they should have much better things to do than this. It only reflects badly on the police department that they are making such a big deal out of this. They could have just laughed and chucked the plaques in the garbage, and it wouldn't have made any difference.

I hope this goes nowhere for the cops, or it goes to trial and the police lose badly. There is no implied threat or intimidation in these plaques, and if it's a one-time incident it shouldn't be deemed harrassment. If it does come from someone who has a history of harrassing officers (as implied by them having a suspect in mind), that's a different story.
