Default 94 honda civic CV Axle replacement

I recently replaced my right front CV axle. After i did it the first time it only would take me about 20 minutes to do it now so i will try to give you step by step.

I would reccomend getting an axle puller from your local parts store. pepboys and autozone and advance autor parts has them as a loan a tool.
  1. loosen lug nuts
  2. loosen axle nut (large nut in center of wheel)
  3. jack up car
  4. remove lug nuts
  5. remove axle nut (large nut in center of wheel)
  6. remove tire
  7. remove caliper and brake pads and tie caliper up using something like wire or coathanger
  8. remove roter
  9. disconnect sterring shaft on left (one with the cotter pin and castle nut)
  10. unbolt ball joint (also with castle nut and cotter pin)
  11. use a good hammer and beat the crap out of the lower control arm (where the ball joint bolt runs through) if you have to use a good lube like wd40 or something to get it extra loose, and the entire ball joint should slip out of place. This will allow you to move the entire wheel assembly out of the way. make sure you do not hit the ball joint with the hammer or you will find yourself having to replace the entire ball joint.

Once you have done all of the above you should then be able to get under the car and use a thin flathead screwdriver and while pulling on the axle push the screwdriver inside where the axle goes into the moter and it should slip right out. and that should be it just reassemble in the reverse.

I hope this helps out. please ask if you have any further questions.
