Default Spy Shots of BMW's 6-Series Cabriolet

The pictures refuse to load here, so you'll have to go to http://www.thecarconnection.com/inde...56,178&sid=178 to get them.

We've seen many pictures of BMW’s future 6-Series coupe, but this is apparently the first time BMW’s convertible has been caught in public.

The 6-Series, a sophisticated mix of 5- and 7-Series components into a proper four-seater, will be officially introduced in Coupe styling at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. The Cabrio, shown here, will debut a year later, also in Geneva.

Codenamed E64, the all-new 6-Series convertible will likely be powered by a series of V-8s including a 272-hp 3.5-liter engine, with other options including a 333-hp 4.4-liter V-8, and a 231-hp 3.0-liter six to follow. We also expect the convertible to be equipped with a traditional canvas top – power operated, of course. An updated and improved iDrive system, passive and active safety features borrowed from the 3-Series convertible and more passenger room than the Audi A4 Cabriolet and Mercedes CLK convertible round out the highlights.

Pricing for the BMW 6-Series convertible is expected to start around $47,000 when they arrive for the 2005 model year.
