i just thought of a good felony example of this john

lets say i call the cops and say vinnie raped me h:

well the cops show up and they find no physical evidence, but they have to investigate so they go see vinnie, take him down to the station and he denies it. cops cant find any proof themselves aside from the fact i said he did it

whats gonna happen? nothing, no charges will be filed ... maybe they keep an eye on vinnie or they know he might be trouble , but you aint going to jail just because someone says you did it. whats that court case gonna look like? its a case of he said she said ...
