Honestly, my friend has has his for over a year now. I LOVE the car as I often mention, but now that I'm also shopping for new cars, I keep finding myself haunted by the $1000 here and there he throws down for stupid maintenance now that his warranty has expired.

Personally, I'd keep the IS if i were you if it is to be a daily driven car since you are still under warranty and the reliability should be much better. If it is a toy, the M3 is def. a fun car but be prepared to maintain it.
