Default welder: would this work?

I just got the eastwood catalog and saw this.

I know this would be more suitable for smaller/body/exhaust type stuff, but it still seems like a really good deal seeing as its a reputable company, comes with a helmet, cart, instructions, etc etc.

I am a noobie welder, but I would mostly be using this for the truck (bumpers, sliders, suspension, etc..) It says up to 3/16", so that should be sufficient.

They've also got this, which would no doubt be a better bet, but its more than I want to spend. :hs:
