are you talking about the main girdle? b18a/b's dont have one. only b18c's do.

plus the C1's oil delivery system seems much more efficient, especially when mated with the C5 oil pump (more stable pressures at higher RPMs).
i hope you're aware that ALL 96+ b series oil pumps are identical

the one advantage of an lsvtec is the b18a/b's slightly longer stroke resulting in a little more torque earlier in the powerband. combined with a better flowing vtec head and the right parts you can have a very nice, flat powerband that makes power into the higher rpm's.
