Default Geeks inside, IR signal to RF

I would like to do away with the 2nd cable box in my house since it is useless, no dvr. I would like to be able to go up-stairs and watch my recorded programs in my bedroom from the box downstairs. Only problem is there is no line of sight for the remote to work on the box downstairs. There has to be some device out there that could transmit IR to RF and VV. This is all possible due to a 2nd jack downstairs running to the upstairs jacks, essentialy I could split the line out of the cable box and attach it to the jack running to upstairs. no more 2nd box rental fee and I don't have to run Down to record something if it catches my attentionh:
