Leatherman doesn't have a blunt tip multi-tool that I know of.

Also, as stated above, the design of the Gerber vs. that of the Leatherman lends more positive clamping force with the pliers. That's to say, the leatherman's tools fold outward from the handle (so if you're squeezing the handle you're squeezing onto the tools and also empty space) whereas the tools on the gerber fold from the inside so you're only grabbing bare metal whenever you're squeezing.

It's hard to explain and I can't find a picture of a Leatherman to compare.

Here's a picture of the multi I was carrying. It's no Leatherman but the design is the same. You can tell the difference here.
