Routine Maint is the best from what I've heard. My old 89 Accord had a bit of a fender bender, guy I took it too worked at the area's Honda dealership and has many years working on Honda's.
We got to talking a bit about how well Honda's are made. He said it's not uncommon for people to bring in Honda's for checkup's, tuneups, oil changes that had 200k. Said he would see 2-5 a day with over 150k. He said the worst part of a Honda was the body. More prone to problems than anything else, especially around the wheel wells. Northeastern PA here gets lots of salted roads in the winter time, salt and cinders will tear up any body faster than normal.
My 89 Accord Lxi has a little over 120k. Body needs work. Rust here and there. But starts smooth, idles like it's brand new. Accelerates like it's got less than 5k on it. Engine is beautiful. I'm sure it'll last to 200k easy. Just gatta get that body work done.
My Prelude still owns tho. I love it.
