I'm in the same boat cause its my first year owning property. I'd be so happy to get back 5K, but I have a feeling it will be more like 3K which will still be a huge help.

doesn't it seem like tax return time is almost like the lottery? you usually get something back but its a mystery of how much. of course some times you get shafted and you owe.
