okay i know there are a lot of people here who own pistols etc but ive been saving for a new hunting rifle, im sure some of you have some experience at least with the caliburs im interested in if not the specific applications.

im looking at getting either a .270 or a .308 Remington semi auto. does anybody have some experience on these caliburs that they would like to share?

i have checked the balistics of both and the 130 grain .270 seems like a hotter bullet than the 150 grain .308

i have experience with .30-06 and 7mm-08 rifles, i really like the .30-06 for hunting (when im wearing layers) but it beats me up at the range when im just wearing a t shirt.
