go to autozone and give them a credit card and your drivers license and they will let you borrow the reader and read the codes in the parking lot. After the codes are read return the reader and go from there. I have a 96 accord and the obd2 connector is behind the front ashtray. I do not know if in the 99 its in the same location. It could be on the left under the driver side dash.
