It's bad enough that they lip sync, but they can't even do that right. Almost like watching a badly dubbed japanese movie. I'm not talking about actual singers there, but most "celebrities" there are supposed to do it all (sing, dance, act, etc.). Anybody that has seen TFC knows what I'm talking about.

Most of the teens or older that you see on Philippine television shows are children of existing celebrities (or at least rich filipinos). They are the ones that get the air time, even if they don't have talent.

I'm guessing this girl is of no relation to any kind of "celebrity" in the Philippines, so the parents do what they can to utilize the talent. So you put them in a "Star Search" type of event and see if you could win some cash.
