100k/year comes out to just a tad bit more than 8k/month... 8333 to be exact. we'll round up to an even 8500/month but thats gross income. tax that shit because the IRS are fucking thieves, and that comes out to roughly $5950... but then there are other deductions from benefits/401k and whatnot and more taxes from the fucking state and useless social security. that leaves approximately $5200 or so, depending on your deductions. thats the NET income. throw in fixed expenses due to housing, food, bills, whatever other expenses, and theres not much left. if you have a savings plan setup, you're pretty much done with the paychecks.
