All depending on external temperature you will be fine with 10w30. Where I live I see no temperatures below 10celsius and since 5w30 is not always available (don't ask me why) I currently run on 0w40 and will have no problem using 10w30. I use Mobil 1. In 6000miles the car consumes around 3/4 of a quart. Maybe with 10w30 consumption will be reduced.
