I believe that 1001hp rating is at the wheels because nobody that's tested the Veyron has pulled the engine out to dyno it without the AWD drivetrain. The car costs $1.85M. The Veyron engineers pointed out to me that the quad-turbo setup is driver adjustable and peaks at 1600hp. Whether that's changed for this year's model, I can't say. I can't afford it anyway.

Comparing ANY corvette to a veyron is like comparing raisins to watermelons. I don't care who modifies a vette, it's still a vette.

Lingenfelter will boost anything you ask them to. Escalades, Mustangs, SRT-10 pickups... doesn't matter if you have the $. It's perfectly okay to be hating on a Corvette. Hate on my vette killing Mitsubishi if it makes you feel any better. Several HAN'ers witnessed this run.
