yea man you can run any weight oil you want to in an engine. The weight usually varies depending on the temperature outside or if the motor is really worn out, you can put heavy oil in it to make up for the worn spaces inside the engine. But if you are going to put 10w 30 in over the recomended 5w 30 you should be fine.
