The only failure I see is you overpaying by $3,000+ on a 10-year old car.
It's not in excellent condition by any means, the front bumper needs to be repainted, the car obviously has bondo in the door if it's "wavy". All this and I've only seen a few photos.
I searched private party value, where you should always begin your negotiations (even if it's on a dealer lot), and I even entered Spokane's zip code of 99204.
Maybe you should have learned how to buy before you actually bought.
