Look at them both side by side and draw your own conclusions. I've seen extensive flow and filtration testing where I work comparing aftermarket to OEM and I've never seen an aftermarket filter that performs better. Either way, it's an obvious connection to make to the piston rings.
And I was talking about them voiding the warranty, not the problem itself
