my best tip is if you are in the fast lane, ride to the right of center closer to the lane marker for 3 reasons.....

1) it allows the driver behind you to see the car in front of you & be aware of when traffic in front of you is stopping & be less likely to rear end you....since most drivers will be surprised at how fast you will stop

2) drivers in the right lane that is moving slower will be watching their mirrors looking for an opening in the lane you are in to dart over. if you are in the center or left of your lane, they might not see you & think it is an opening & dart over into you.

3) if for some reason, you need to get out of your lane QUICK, you are already over & can go to the other lane or split the lanes real quick
