Yeah, I've never thought about that as well, and I'll be doing it more often. Makes sense. I ride everyday that it is not raining as well.
When you are following someone, in any type of traffic, what do you watch the most on the car(s) in front of you? I focus on the brake lights the most. And then ahead of me I watch out for any traffic signals, turn signals, and bends. I can usually get a pretty good idea of what other traffic is going to do based on those.
