Same thing happened to my brother's set. He'd blow though SilverStars every 2 months it seemed like.

Just make sure NOT to touch the glass on your bulb. The oils in your fingers will stick to the glass and cook the part when turned on. You'll dramatically lessen the bulb's life though mishandling.
