What I discovered that worked well to rough up the chrome is to rub it well with some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and a scrap piece of cloth. The chome will disolve under a bit of elbow grease and will maintain an absoltly smooth surface.
rubbing alcohol huh? I would have never thought of that. I was gonna hit em w/some fine grit sandpaper but the alcohol tip sounds better. I don't want to dissolve the chrome though right? It's not necessary to do that is it?
