rear brake ONLY in slow speed braking, or mildly in turning situations where a lighter steering ability is needed (light rear braking will transfer weight to rear causing front to be lighter & more responsive)
otherwise, the rear brake should be avoided like the plague...too easy to lock rear wheel & cause loss of control from skidding

I always thought that, but i thought it was just because i dont like using the rear brake.
