This is why I'm on e3NiNe2 ... I nuked my XBL account with was on the non-optional renew service. They can't bring it back. I had to start a new one.
actually that isn't true. My roommate switched from credit card to xbox live cards after a year. He just called and told them that he canceled his credit card so they updated his info on his account and he put in his XBL card code in and bang.
