doo eet. Most of the guys telling you it will be too slow probably don't even own bikes. I'd bet $50 it'll do 100 no problem, and it will be faster than most cars on the road. I bike like that will make the MSF course a lot easier as well. I would go ahead and spend some money and get some gear now. most people (myself include) start riding and then after a few months go out and get the gear but you are MUCH more likely to wreck in the first few months, so thats kind of a dumb way to do it.

damn you are lucky dude. Makes me think about moving up my plan to get a nice helmet instead of the cheap one I have now... I assume you probably don't remember much but what exactly happened with your laces? I've heard to tuck them but I've never really worried much about it.
