It's only logical. Why would the law vary based on a person's sight.

Seemingly by your logic when you see a speed limit sign that means you can go that speed. If driver A can see better than driver B and can read the sign sooner does that mean he can legally drive the higher posted speed?

I've been ticketed for 54 in a 45 and I was approaching and could visually see a 55mph zone.
