Ok, all this looking at bikes for my friend got me interested. I went to go look at a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 250R that this kid is selling. It is in showroom condition and still has 2 years left (until August 2009) on the extended warranty. He has done some minor stuff to it. But the alarm system and warranty justify the price in my mind. I know a lot of you guys will say that a 250 is too small and that's fine, let me know if you feel that way. But I am only going to learn on this bike and will probably sell it in a year or so. Also, I am not a huge guy (5'7" and 165lbs).
So what do you guys with more experience with bikes think? Will a 250 really be too small even tho it is just temporary to learn on?
How is the price?
I sat on a Ninja 500 and 650 today also. The 500 felt fine but the 650 felt a bit big considering I am a noob. Should I go with the 500 even though it's $2k more?
