That will do the job of course but since it's an auto you'd be better off just braking with your left foot while giving the car a little gas as you roll to a stop - as a temporary fix that is.

It's a good idea to change the fuel filter anyway but I don't think that will fix the problem either.

Does it start up normal and idle fine if it's in neutral?
Try getting the engine revs up and then quickly off the throttle in neutral when it's all warmed up and see if it dies then - if so I'd assume you need to adjust the IACV as IgOtNOluCk said.
