I recently went car shopping and compared the Honda Fit with the Honda Civic. One noticeable difference was the the Honda Fit is a Low Emmissions Vehicle (lev) and the Civic is an Ultra Low Emmissions Vehicle (ulev).
Why is the Fit not a ULEV?

While I'm not 100% sure on this, this is my best guess.
The Fit is new to us but has been around elsewhere in the world for quite sometime. So while it's new to us, it uses "older" technology. I bet the next generation Fit will be a ULEV. Eitherway, it's still a pretty green machine
