I had the same problem with the annoying alarm on my 92 vigor. After I tried to disable it I managed to make it shut off the ignition, which is what yours has done. Mine started again after I disconnected both the battery and the alarm module, which is located behind the ABS module under the glove box. You can probably find a diagram on the internet... I got one from an acura dealer. I left both unhooked overnight, then reconnected the alarm module first and the battery second.
For the other issue, you can deactivate the alarm permanently by bending the lever that senses if the hood is open. You just bend it a little bit so that it doesn't get pushed down when you close the hood, and the alarm will stop going off all the time. Good luck!
By doing this, you not only disable your alarm from it's original designed purpose, prevent thief, but you also damage a perfectly good hood sensor.
The proper way to resolve this is to find the problem, and correct it. It's more than likely that your alarm was caused by a bad door actuator sensor, or corroded connectors. If all else fails, and you must disable the alarm, then simply unbolt the hood sensor, and flip it upside down.
