I had intermittent starting issues in my '94 EX. It turned out to be the start. It's easy to replace, about $100 for a new one. I'd replace it before you get stranded. You can pull it out and have Autozone or another auto parts store test it. Make sure they test it repeatedly, because mine seemed to be worked when they first powered it up. The pinion gear wasn't moving out properly.
