if the clicking is heard outside i have a 92 and it has a hill holder feature so u will hear an audible click as u brake and shift into the gear u select. u will hear it on inclines also. doesnt have to be much of one. i dont know if manual trannies have this feature but automatic cars do. u can feel it when u have your lt foot on the dead pedal on the dr side floor. if u hear it and feel it in the front end that would be what it is. u may hear a click also inside when u put your foot on the brake to energize the shiftlock solenoid in the gear shift area to get the car out of park. my solenoid is located to the right of the shifter in the console. u will hear all kinds of clicks and beeps in these cars.
