yeah because the two examples you just listed fall so closely in vastness and cost. They would have had to raise gas tax like 4 dollars to raise enough to cover that expenditure solely on the added tax.
I was being facetious. I didn't expect the .gov to raise taxes to fix all the levees in the country, nor do I feel it's necessary for the people to pay to fix all the bridges.
