I want to do porting and polishing but how much is that going to improve a turboed motor. I already have greddy e-manage but want to buy an AEM ecu system that can plug into a laptop so you can tune it. Are there any websites out there that anyone knows of that can direct me as to what parts and who to buy from??
I did mine. Using stock bore and I did not sleeve tha block.
Used eagle rods w/ Nippon 8.5cr pistons.
DSM 450cc injectors (limited my hp to around 280)
Revhard cast iron manifold
T3 57trim turbo (50ar cold 63ar Hot)
ARP Head studs
External ebay wastegate (worked fine)
Uberdata tuned (Using this you can also plug a laptop into the ecu)
Fidanza 7lb flywheel (I dont recommend this for boost, adds turbo lag)
XTD 6-puck double sprung clutch
Twin Greddy type RS Bovs (Better to have two for high boost) so you dont blow pipes off as much. plus sounds/looks cool
I used stock cam/crank but I did not have high hp goals, just fast and fun.
thats most of it. but should be enough to get you started.
