Hi, I have a 1998 Civic EX. Originally when I tried to purchase an additonal fob from Honda, they couldnt get it to program and said that the "receiver" must be going bad. Since then, it was worked sporadically. I even changed the battery hoping it was a simple thing, it was not. The LED doesnt flash on the dash now, and the locks wont lock.

My question is, can the receivers be replaced? I have read that they are sometimes in the radio, if that is true how can I find out? And lastly, the obvious is there one or two that someone else has used to replace their entire system. I just want the doors to lock and the alarm to turn on.
